Happy Tuesday!
     I want to say what a great job you did today turning some of your watermelon topics into seed story ideas!!! Tomorrow in writing we will start writing a personal narrative for one of these topics. Tomorrow will be our first day of DARE!!

Spelling: pg. 88-93
Reading: 20 minutes of reading, write 2 Discussion Director Questions for the first couple of chapters in the medieval unit books. (The small group that meets with Ms. Bassett, don't worry about this)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

     I hope that you all had a great vacation and are well rested!! We had a great transition back to school!! The last 45 minutes were a little slow, but we made it! Today we started our unit on the circulatory and respiratory system. For extra points email me the 3 parts that make up the circulatory system!!! Remember this week we kicked off our morning Study Hall beginning at 8:10. This week if you would like to participate you can head to Ms. Scherer's classroom. I hope you all have a great night and see you in the morning!!

Spelling: ABC Order and Re-write the words you misspelled on the pretest 3 times each
Science: Worksheet on the Circulatory System

      Great job to our classmates that performed in the Holiday Concert this morning and good luck tonight! I want to tell you that I was very impressed with your written responses today in math. This is a very hard thing to have to do and you showed me today that you are getting it! So, GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!! Here's tonight's homework:

• Because of the Holiday concert we were unable to give the Pre-test, so I asked you all to make sure you bring your Spelling books home so you could write the words in ABC order.

Good Afternoon Students!
      Today in writing I showed you how to create a timeline on the Read Write Think Website. Tonight you will be creating timelines for your explorer on that website. If for some reason you are not able to create this timeline online, please come to school tomorrow with the 8 or more events you would like to have on your timeline. I will find time tomorrow for you to use a classroom computer to create this or time on Friday. Again, if you can NOT use the online timeline, YOU MUST bring the 8 events that you want to add tomorrow to school!!

Spelling:

• pg. 72-74

Social Studies:

• Online timeline (print and bring in) or 8 events for timeline. 

Reading:

• Fuzzy Guppies: Comprehension Questions
• How did Mrs. Sharpe respond to Petra's and Calder's questions? Why did her reactions make them think she might be involved in the art theft?
• Who do you think the thief is?

Happy December 1st!!!!

Today we finally landed in the NEW WORLD!!! Tomorrow we will decide where we want to land and pick landing cards. This month we will be wrapping up our Exploration Unit in Social Studies, Research Project in Writing and our Mystery Unit in Reading!!!! Here is tonight's homework.

Spelling:

Social Studies:

• Continue any research that you still have left.
